Randall Stewart "Randy" Newman (born November 28, 1943) is an American singer-songwriter and composer. He has composed the film scores for several Disney films, mostly for Pixar releases. He won two Oscars for Best Original Song for Monsters, Inc., and Toy Story 3. His first ever music composition in a Disney hand-drawn animated feature, was in The Princess and the Frog.

  • Randy's cousin, Thomas Newman, is also a composer for Pixar. Tom wrote the scores for Finding Nemo and WALL•E, both directed by Andrew Stanton.
