Alan Wray Tudyk (born March 16, 1971) is an American stage, film, television and voice actor, who is best known for his role as Hoban "Wash" Washburne in the short-lived, but critically acclaimed Fox space-western drama series Firefly in 2002 and its 2005 continuation film Serenity. Tudyk was born in El Paso, Texas and raised in Plano, Texas, where he attended Plano Senior High School. Tudyk studied drama at Lon Morris College (winning the Academic Excellence award for Drama) and Juilliard.
For Walt Disney Animation Studios, he has voiced King Candy in the 2012 Disney animated film Wreck-It Ralph (for which he won an Annie Award for Voice Acting in a Feature Production), the Duke of Weselton in the 2013 animated feature film Frozen, Alistair Krei in the 2014 animated feature film Big Hero 6, Duke Weaselton in the 2016 animated feature film Zootopia and Heihei in the film Moana. He has been a staple voice actor for the Disney Revival, alongside Katie Lowes. His other works with Disney include additional voices in Phineas and Ferb and voicing King Butterfly and Ludo in the Disney Channel/Disney XD animated series Star vs. the Forces of Evil.
He also portrayed K-250 in the Star Wars film Rogue One.
