Adolph Lusinsky, Director of Cinematography Lighting, Walt Disney Animation Studios, partners with the Directors and Production Designer to establish the lighting direction on animated feature films. Through early collaboration, Lusinsky ensures that the visuals serve the story and supervises the team of artists and technicians in their shared goal to bring the Directors’ vision to life. Lusinsky recently served as Director of Cinematography Lighting on the Academy Award®-winning animated feature Big Hero 6.

Lusinsky joined Disney Animation in 2003 as a Sequence Lead on Chicken Little. He served as Director of Look and Lighting on several projects including Bolt, Rhino Short, Tick Tock Tale, Prep & Landing, Operation Secret Santa and Wreck-It Ralph. Lusinsky attended California State University Fullerton where he majored in illustration. As a child, he dreamed of being a helicopter pilot with a monkey as a co-pilot but later came to his senses and chose to be an artist. In his spare time, Lusinsky enjoys painting and spending time with his wife, 2 kids and a french bulldog named Marcello.
